Our client is a premier provider of services and applications for mobile phones. They specialise in the design and development of wireless applications and have experience in technologies like WAP; Video over Mobile, J2ME, SMS, MMS and location based services.

The Business Challenge

As part of its ongoing commitment to develop solutions for financial sector the client wanted to develop a mobile application - 'Investment Tracker'. The application had to have a very simple look and flexibility to collaborate with a number of servers in the background.

The Zerone Solution

Investment Tracker is a mobile application, which can be downloaded onto a handset, to provide timely and accurate financial information at anytime and from anyplace. Mobile Investment tracker helps the user to keep track of their portfolio of stocks and shares at anytime and from anyplace. The application is easy to use and, resides on the actual handset allowing users to watch their portfolio being updated in real-time with flexibility to customise their settings.

The core functions that the application undertake are:

• Checking personal preference data, and executing algorithms from the host server.
• Integration with 3rd party servers for specific data lookups like, symbol lookups and real-time

• Real-time access into Financial systems via GPRS /3G, using Internet protocols.
• The retrieval of stocks and shares from markets, across the world.
• The ability to create your own portfolio of stocks and shares.
• Real time access to your choice of stocks and share information.
• Monitor volumes, prices and trade types as trades are made
• 'Information Push' services -the capability to set real time alerts based upon portfolio personalisation attributes.
• As more users come on board we must ensure that the application is scalable to millions of users.
• Application integrated with the Bango Billing that provides solution for taking payments for mobile content over WAP sites.
